I have cleaned it and also bleached the straps. It fits on to most kitchen type chairs. It has a strap to secure your toddler, plus a strap for behind the back of the chair and also underneath, to secure the booster to the chair. This seat was great for me, because we have a small kitchen and our child could sit near the table with us and we didn't have to worry about putting a highchair up and down in the small space that we have.
