I have no actual date of manufaturer of this item however after doing some research I have come to the conclusion that is from the late 1900's possibly 1930-1950. You may know more than me. My Grandmother past away in 1999 and she was born in the late 1800's and has had this for every since I can remember. It is in photo's that were taken in 1953. It has been in the family since new. She came from England to Canada in the early days and never moved here to the states. We went to clean out her Mansion in Toronto last year and this was among the items left for me to keep, and I am not a collector of this type of stuff, so I figured maybe someone on Ebay may have use for it. She actually had several more, however they are not near as nice as this one. The cover is all tore up and needs to either be repaired or left alone I am not sure if it is worth as much with the canapy all tore up or not. Sorry i cannot tell you more. The sticker on the item says Thistle Made in Canada The mattress is nice too and there is no rust except in one little area.
