The crib/toddler bed comes with the mattress which is in perfect condition (it has always been covered with a waterproof cover)(none of the bedding shown in the pics is included). I believe these items are made of Beechwood - they are very well made and heavy. They have a white wash finish. The sides of the crib can be removed and it converts into a toddler bed. The crib has a storage drawer under it. The shelving on the changing table can be repositioned so that it can be used as a dresser/bookcase. You will also receive the changing table pad and the two fabric covers that I had custom made. We purchased this furniture new at the Bellini store at the Galleria in Edina and it cost over $1500. It does have one flaw, when we used it as a toddler bed the first time (and the sides were off and being stored) one of the side rails bowed out a little bit. We used this like this with our second child and it was fine but you can see the slight bowing in the third picture. I don't know if you can somehow straighten it out...
