The Dresden Plates have been hand appliqued onto a white floral background using blanket stitch.  Blue and white ticking stripes are used for the quilt backing and sashing; with hand cut floral squares in sashing corners. The quilt has been professionally machine quilted, using a Gammill Quilting machine. Dresden Plates have "in the ditch" quilting on them; and are outlined; while the rest of the quilt has freehand flowers quilted on the borders, sashings, and in the block corners.
