Although I did rent a pump when my son was born, I decided it was much cheaper in the long run to purchase the pump outright when my daughter was born. This is the pump I used for my Daughter. That having been said, I can not say enough about this breast pump. Neither of my children would nurse directly from my breast, but the Medela Hospital Grade pump allowed me to “pump” for 18 months with my son and 17 months with my daughter which I never would have been able to do if I had purchased a pump over the counter. Although I always pumped both breast at the same time, this model does allow for double or single pumping. It is QUICK and EASY!! I was able to pump enough to satisfy my daughter and fill a large section of our freezer!!
