Description
The Mutsy Urban Rider is a very different kind of stroller with large pneumatic tires and a unique rear-pivoting steering system. The Duo-Seat turns the Urban Rider frame into a dual carriage, with the larger child sitting in front and the smaller one in back. The back seat has four different recline positions, from normal upright to nearly flat (for infants). When we got the stroller two years ago, Mutsy did not send product to the US. That has changed, but the Duo-Seat attachment is still not available here and must be ordered from Europe. The dollar isn't very strong, and the shipping will kill you. You can get this stroller for the price of a single, and save more than $300 for the Duo-Seat and the shipping.This is one of the best double strollers on the market, and it is perfect for the Mom or Dad who likes to push the kids in the latest technology. The stroller does get a lot of admiring looks! The large wheels help this stroller clear sidewalk cracks, tree roots and potholes in stride, and the inflatable tires mean that the kids get a nice smooth ride. It handles odd terrain as well as a jogging stroller, but it is more manageable. The pivoting rear wheels might take some getting used to; some think the pivot makes the stroller extremely maneuverable even in tight spots, but you can also lock the pivot whenever you want. Each seat has a sunshade, and we have the Mutsy infant "cocoon" that turns the back seat into a near-bed for the smallest child, and keeps him or her warm in cooler weather. Finally, you can remove the Duo-Seat and replace it with a single seat (either a traditional seat or the Mutsy Fun Seat) when the older child no longer needs a stroller. This is the upgraded Urban Rider "Next" frame with adjustable leather grips. I am 6'4", my wife is 5'3" and the adjustment range is wide enough to make both of us happy. The stroller is in great condition. There's even a Mutsy tire pump clipped in the large lower basket. LOCAL PICKUP VASTLY PREFERRED! Why? There's 137 reasons why. The Mutsy Urban Rider chassis, plus the Duo-Seat and the infant cocoon will cost almost $137 to ship via UPS Ground.
