The edges of the letters are raw and intended to fray.   The pillow cover has 4 to 8 buttons on it to close it. Each pillow cover can be removed from the pillow insert, (also included) to be machine or hand washed.    One letter can be covered in buttons or a butterfly, star, car, heart or a flower can be added if the name is 5 letters or shorter.   They look great on the bed or as a room decoration, and they make a perfect gift for a new baby, baby shower, christening present, birthday present or just to tell someone that they are special!!!!   These are a great alternative to the boring ready made personalised items you can buy, ~ NO TWO ARE ALIKE. ~   So why not treat the special little person or people in your life they will love this pillow!!!! ********* My daughter carries hers around with her all day long.
