Rare Antique Evansville Infant/Baby Weight Scale! I searched and searched, and simply could not locate another scale quite like this one. This infant weight scale is primitive! I believe it is from the late 1800's or early 1900's, although as I couldn't find any information on this particular type, it's hard to be sure. I have included many pictures, and would appreciate any information or comments! Here are the specs: The label on the scale reads "Evansville Indiana..."and "Infant....Materials" (The word before Materials is difficult to make out, it may say "diet"!). The model number reads "NO 24004". The base measures 12" x 7-1/2" and the pan measures 22" long x 12" wide. This scale has a capacity of 36 lbs. Comes with a 10 lb hanging weight. The scale is heavy (over 12 lbs), all metal including (I believe) mostly steel and cast iron. The pan is somewhat rusty, but the rest of the scale is in great condition!
