Description Vintage Baby Wooden Toy w/Clown Faces from 1940's Neat! This is a nice old unusual wooden toy set, including 3 "clowns" with 2 hats, and play wooden beads on 2 wooden stands. It is from the 1940's and made for babies and small children. The clowns wobble back and forth on their "tight-rope." It is all in great condition, however one clown is missing a hat, and one stand has been reproduced in the past. (dark blue stand that the clown line fits into) Other than that it is all original.  The wood looks like "turned" wood, (from an old lathe) or crafted into the clown bodies, and the brightly colored beads - red, white and sage green. They have wooden collars, and heads, with smiling faces!  When standing, the toy measures 10 1/4" wide and 7" tall. This is a delightful little toy! Wonder what it could tell us if it could talk!
