Note the bars are close together like the modern cradles - Very Unique for that time! and it is supported on wood dowels! - see pics - with a large dowel to keep it from moving when needed.   A VERY Personal Note - I was Born In 1951 - A few years ago my Mother Passed Away and left a note on this Cradle that was folded up in the attic of our family home. The Note had my name on it - My Mother said "I Rocked you many times in this cradle from April - June 1951" Love, MOM  Pictures are of the actual cradle! All authentic - we did cut a new bottom piece - the original was warped and some of the screws were replaced with new ones because the old ones were missing - This can be taken apart of folded very small - Keep it for the next one and the next one!
