Description
100% LAMBSWOOL and MERINO SOAKER.  This is a great soaker for NIGHTTIME use!  Especially for that toddler who still needs nighttime protection!  Great summertime shorts.  Beautiful black, blue and white color.  Super soft and comfy wool.  The inside layer is a Black 100% Merino.  Wonderful addition to your nighttime needs, and would still look great to wear during the day.  My son had pants made from this same wool, and they were one of his favorites!  ENJOY ;-) MEASUREMENTS:   Please measure your child with their diaper on: Waist - 14" - 22"  Rise - 22" front to back Hips - 20" and stretching Your set will arrive WASHED/LANOLIZED and READY TO WEAR If you are new to wool, here is a small amount of info. - Wool is anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, which helps it not to retain odors, and a natural fire retardant. It can absorb up to 40% of its weight in liquid and it allows the body to breathe.  These qualities of wool make it an excellent choice for a natural and oh so comfy diaper cover.  Wool has the wonderful ability to regulate body temperature, it will keep your child warm in winter and cool in summer.  Making it the perfect choice for diaper covers any time of the year.  Used for generations!  IMPORTANT note:  Wool is only as effective as the amount of absorbtion you have underneath the cover.  The wool needs time to "react" or time to be able to absorb and breathe.  If not enough absorbtion is used then cover will not work as well and you will feel wetness.  I use wool for my children and just love using a natural product that has all of these amazing qualities - I absolutely enjoy using it! You must wash/re-lanolize your cover every few weeks, (or when poo'd on) depending on use. Please allow to air dry between uses. You can wash/re-lanolize in one step, or two, your choice.  Easiest would be to wash with a Eucalan or Kookaburra according to package directions this already has lanolin in it.  It is a good idea to use solid lanolin that has been dissolved in a glass jar with boiling water to the wool wash.  I also like to squirt some extra liquid lanolin on after they have dried and rub vigorously into fibers, in diaper area only.  Or, you can just launder in machine on wool setting, always let air dry, then rub liquid lanolin in. A little about me and the wool I use:  I have been sewing for a long time, I learned to sew in 4-H as a child from a very talented woman!  I sew all of my seams twice, and if this matters I do not serge my seams.  My fifth child has sensitive skin and he would break out in a rash from the serged seams, non-serged seams are much softer against the skin.  All of my items come from reclaimed wool sweaters that are a minimum of 80% Wool content, this is important in order to have them work properly as a diaper cover! Also, you can be assured that all of my wool will feel soft against the skin, and I NEVER use a Shetland Wool as this is almost always a very scratchy wool.  All of my sweaters are washed first with a wool wash with tea tree oil/lavendar, before sewing.  Then they are washed/lanolized prior to shipping out.    You truly are receiving a one of a kind unique handmade very useful product. And yes, We are a pet free and smoke free home!  We are, however, VERY kid friendly! If you have any questions regarding this auction or wool in general, please just ask. I was new and a skeptic at one time!  I love to COMBINE SHIPPING - each additional item shipped is ONLY $2 ;-)  Just let me know if you are going to bid on other items!  International buyers will be shipping at their own risk, or inquire about purchasing insurance.
