The standing bear has a little piece that broke out less than 2cm. long. This could probably be used for a boy or a girl. There is no glass it doesn't look like there ever was one. This is meant to be placed ontop of a mantle or shelf. There is no spot on the back to hang it from a wall. I believe it is made of ceramic, not porcelain, this is sturdier than porcelain..
